broke into her home on 36th street and said he was looking for a party. he then ran away. a short time later, another man broke into a female students bedroom on o street. she screamed and he fled. the police are still searching for the assailant. at an unidentified wssc worker went missing yesterday afternoon. maryland state and local police and firefighters searched last night. they resumed again today, but called off the search. the worker has not been found. the search could begin again tomorrow. a major shakeup in the race to the white house and a smaller field of republicans battling for the nomination. herman cain called it quits today after weeks of pressure, but he says he is innocent of allegations against him. >> today was the end of the line

the man at the center of the penn state sex abuse scandal is speaking out. former defensive coordinator jerry sandusky says prosecutors have it all wrong that he never sexually abused children and instead was a father figure to many of the kids he interacted with.

the reporter asked sandusky to react to a question posed to him on an earlier interview about whether he was attracted to young boys. >> if i say no, i am not attracted to young boys, that is not the truth because i am attracted to young people, boys, girls. >> you enjoy spending time? >> right, i enjoy spending time with young people. i enjoy spending time with people. >> sandusky is accused of raping and molesting at least eight years over 15 years. a lawyer for one of the alleged victims who watched the interview said the latest explanations are just absolutely difficult to watch. one man is not getting into the holiday spirit. surveillance video shows the 19- year-old and a santa claus hat getting into a confrontation with a bus driver, who picks them off.

the man then grabs a rock and throws it at the windshield, smashing it. the suspect's mother turned him and after seeing this surveillance video. for hundreds of military children being together for the holidays is not always an option. today, more than 250 local kids got some holiday hope. >> for the family, it is never so easy. >> i felt sad and alone. >> today they tried to put together the missing pieces for children whose parents are still deployed. >> it is hard, but remember the most important thing, he is working, doing his job, and he will come home.

tomorrow and monday, when the high temperatures will push 60 degrees. the satellite radar, northern wisconsin and to minnesota that is where the winter weather advisory is it at at this time. our weather will remain quiet but another cold front will rise tuesday and wednesday. that is when the weather becomes unsettled. the future-cast tomorrow, looking up to lots of sunshine, the clouds thickened by the late afternoon. moving into the day monday, mostly cloudy skies, milder air 10-15 degrees above average for this time of year. tonight, evening lows into the 30's, partly cloudy skies. tomorrow, high temperature and the upper 50's. the extended outlook 61 degrees monday, the cold front arrives wednesday, much colder air thursday and friday. >> not bad at all.
